My former client, Tommy, shares the lessons he’s learned through coaching to help readers create the lives they’ve always dreamed of having with this motivational and inspirational pep talk on creativity positivity with positive thought and action.
Imagine the way you want your life to be. How different is your ideal life from your current life?
Every morning I would wake up and think “I do not want to get up. I hate going to work. I don’t want to eat a healthy breakfast, I want to go to McDonalds. I hate sitting in traffic. I hate sitting at a computer for 8 hours a day. I hate sitting in traffic on the way home. I hate that I feel too drained to exercise or go out and do anything with friends. I don’t want to sleep because I have to do it again tomorrow.”
Those were the thoughts of my day. Now imagine if there was someone that followed you around all
day whispering those things in your ear at every moment. Thinking like that is the same thing, because thoughts are very tangible things. If you think about being hungry, you eat. If you think of an old friend you haven’t seen in a while, you contact them. If you think about negativity and how bad things are going in your life, you start attracting and seeing negative circumstances around you.
I want to share something that has made every day of my life more amazing than I ever thought
possible. And it is the power of positive thinking.
The key is to start purging the negativity from your life. Instead of thinking “I hate the drive to work” think “I can’t wait until I do that awesome thing I have planned after I get home from work today!”
It is essentially looking at a situation and choosing how you will describe it. Similarly to exercising a muscle in your body, at first you will have to work to insert each positive thought in your head. It takes constantly monitoring of your thoughts to realize when you are thinking negatively, then deciding how you can take that thought and reword it to be something positive. The more you do this, the harder you can flex your rock hard “positivity biceps” and the less you have to work to have a head full of good, motivational thoughts.
It is truly amazing how different your life can be, and how in control of your circumstances you really are. I will agree that not every situation will be good, but the more time you can spend with positive thoughts in your head, the more positive situations you attract and the better you feel. The better you feel, the more you are motivated to take advantage of everything life has to offer.
The key is to acknowledge any undesirable situation, but instead of dwelling on the situation find as many positive things as possible to think about instead. If your head is full of positive thoughts, you attract positive situations, get better reactions from people, and are motivated to do more because you just feel good all the time!
If I can tell you one thing, let it be this; Fill your head with positive thoughts as often as possible and your life can improve more than you ever thought possible. I know mine has.
