The Ultimate Solution To IKEA Slipcovers The Ultimate Solution To IKEA Slipcovers

When you’re in your late twenties and thirties like myself and Mr J, there comes a point where one’s level of taste of interior furnishings exceeds one’s current budget. How does a couple with more contemporary and selective tastes make it on a what seems like a shoe string budget? Enter, a textile company that helps people transform their factory churned IKEA furniture into something found in a designer showroom.

When it came to our living room, we needed a couch to distract our dogs from sleeping on and scratching our buffalo hide sofa. We debated amongst ourselves that perhaps we would sell our handcrafted Japanese furniture for something more practical, but we couldn’t bring ourselves to do it. Instead, we found a Tylosand lounge chair in the bargain section of our nearest IKEA for €120 that fit our (and our dogs) napping requirements perfectly. The problem was, however, there was no accompanying slipcover that came with the discount sofa. We had to find an affordable and tasteful solution fast.

I searched around on the internet and saw IKEA Tylosand covers for sale and quickly learned they were made of polyester fabric which appeared to wear out quickly, giving a low quality texture and appearance to what could otherwise be a beautiful piece of furniture. After some more online searching, I found and exactly what I needed: a high quality solution to my IKEA slipcover problem. Because is so easy to navigate, simple to peruse with actual samples of what each piece will look like with a specific fabric, it didn’t take Mr J and I long to decide on a color and fabric quality for our style, enter in the free shipping code we found on the net, and confirm our order. To Mr J’s pleasure, the entire process took less than an hour and fit perfectly within our budget. I was elated.

A few days after I made our order, I mentioned the excitement of my purchase on Twitter. Someone from the @Bemz crew quickly responded with equal excitement and asked to see the finished result. That type of response and attention is pretty hard to find and I have to say that I was impressed.

When our custom slipcover was ready, we received an e-mail notifying us of shipment attached with a tracking number with which we could use to follow the progress of our package. The box arrived within the four weeks Bemz promised to deliver with the slipcover pieces carefully wrapped in plastic.

Putting the Bemz slipcovers on our sofa was a breeze. It took less than ten minutes while I was one the phone with friend. One of the best things I love about Bemz custom IKEA slipcovers is that they’re washable – a necessity for people with kids and/or furry pets. The tags found on the slipcovers indicates the cleaning instructions.

Upon seeing the cover on our new sofa yesterday, I knew we had made the right decision. The fabric feels wonderful and the color goes perfectly with our color scheme. No surprises; just exactly what we ordered.

The ultimate test came when my friend E came over and immediately carved a place for herself on the sofa. She stretched out on it and said, “Oh, I feel too good here!”’s custom IKEA slipcover passed the comfort test.

One day, I hope to graduate from IKEA furnishings and move onto more collectable pieces, but until then Bemz remains my solution for all my IKEA slipcover needs. The ordering process is simple, the website is fun to use, the service is responsive, and delivers a quality custom IKEA slipcover at an unbeatable price to homes all over the globe. Thanks, Bemz!
